PAST CONTINUOUS
The past continuous is use for actions that happened in a specific moment in the past. As the present continuous, it is formed with the verb " to be " and the gerund.
To form the past continuous, the auxiliary verb is in use " to be " and the gerund (infinitive + "-ing") of the verb. The auxiliary verb " to be " is in the simple past, but bear in mind that " to be " it is an irregular verb.
Examples:
He was playing fotball yesterday.
We were studing english last week.
Were you buying food at the supermarket yesterday?
